| Synopsis | The Animal on the Stone or The Fable of the Egg are the same novel. I had those titles and decided that the first one was more enigmatic and perhaps lyrical, because the second one could be related to some episode in the kitchen, at breakfast time. The book can be read in one sitting, I have been told. So the reader gets up more or less early, has breakfast and then reads it, he will be free by midday and can take advantage of the rest of Saturday or Sunday. It is possible that he will get hungry in the meantime and even want to eat red meat because the protagonist goes to the supermarket and buys meat. It is also possible that he will have a desire to eat insects. None of that matters, either way. If the reader wants to escape, he can do so, that is his right.
