| Synopsis | Josefina Vicens (1911-1988) studies philosophy, literature and history at the University of Mexico. She wrote features on bullfighting, political editorials, and had a long career as a scriptwriter for films. She published two novels, El libro vacío (1958), which won the Xavier Villaurrutia Award and was translated into French in 1963 and English in 1992, and Los años falsos (1982). The two novels contained in this volume were enough to cement the author´s reputation as one of the hidden jewels of Mexican fiction. |
